PHB, Maybank Announces Interim Distribution For Amanah Hartanah Bumiputera

Last update: 15/04/2013KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 (Bernama) -- Pelaburan Hartanah Bhd (PHB) and Maybank Asset Management Sdn Bhd today announced an interim income distribution of 3.25 sen a unit for Amanah Hartanah Bumiputera (AHB) for the six-month period ended March 31, 2013.

The interim income distribution translated into an effective annualised income yield of 6.6 per cent which is benchmarked against the 12-month General Investment Account-I of Maybank Islamic Bhd.

This represented a total income distribution of RM33.7 million and is the fifth income distribution made by AHB to its unit holders since its inception in November 2010.

PHB Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Datuk Kamalul Arifin Othman said PHB was active in seeking viable properties to invest in or develop, which would be injected into AHB.

"Today, I am pleased to announce, with the most recent acquisition of PHB's ninth completed property, our total value of completed assets is approximately RM1.8 billion," he said in a statement.

PHB recently acquired the 20-storey Tower 3, Avenue 7, in Bangsar South City which has a high occupancy rate of 90 per cent.

The building is currently occupied by predominantly international companies.
