SEREMBAN, Jan 27 (Bernama) -- OSK Property Holdings Bhd expects to complete the development of its new township, Iringan Bayu, which has a gross development value of RM3.6 billion, within ten years.
Its Executive Chairman, Tan Sri Ong Leong Huat, said the 311.61-hectare project would be developed in phases and have a green neighbourhood with an 8.9-hectare recreational park.
"In this new development, we emphasise the quality of life that the residents will enjoy.
"We are also looking at how this township can value add to the people who own the units because in the long run the property will appreciate due to qualitative aspects of infrastructure, environment and property itself," he told reporters after the launch of the project here today.
Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan launched the project.
Ong said under the first phase, 221 units of the double-storey terraced houses, priced between RM390,000 and RM435,800, had been opened for bookings.
He said that in line with the Negeri Sembilan's housing policy, which wanted developers to build affordable terraced houses, 831 units of terraced houses costing RM80,000 would also be built in the township.
"For those who are eligible, they can apply to buy the units by registering at the Negeri Sembilan Housing Unit," he said, adding that the affordable housing was expected to be launched this year.
Meanwhile, Mohamad said, the Iringan Bayu project was in line with the state government's desire to make Seremban an ideal place to live and enjoy life.
"We want to develop this state and at the same time not forget the people's well-being," he said.
