ISKANDAR PUTERI, Feb 8 (Bernama) -- Property developer, UEM Sunrise Bhd, will focus on the development of the landed residential properties here.

Its Chief Operating Officer (Development),  Datuk Roslan Ibrahim, said this was because the company was confident potential property buyers would pick a landed property when purchasing their homes.

"Demand for landed properties in Iskandar Malaysia area is still strong and at a good level and we are working to meet it.

"To-date, we have about 2,832 hectares (ha) that are not developed in Iskandar Malaysia," he said.

He was speaking to reporters at the ceremony to launch the company's new landed housing project - Serimbun - at the UEM Sunrise Property Exhibition Centre here today.

On Serimbun, Roslan said, it would be built on ??about 10 ha near Bukit Indah here with a gross investment value of RM139.3 million.

"The Serimbun offers two designs with a built-up area from 1,993 to 2,117 sq ft. They are priced at between RM630,000 and RM1.44 million and are expected to be completed by 2020," he said.

Roslan said Serimbun offered 215 residential units and so far 1,500 buyers had registered to buy them.
