Penang Bungalow Most Expensive Home Sold In Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 (Bernama) -- A bungalow, located in Jalan Utama, an upper-middle class suburb of Pulau Tikus, Penang transacted at a cost of RM14.5 million was the most expensive property sold in Malaysia last year.

The listing on the 10 most expensive homes transacted in Malaysia last year compiled by iPropertyIQ.com, iProperty.com's big data solutions service and a division of the property portal, was based on sales data obtained from the Valuation and Property Services Department.

"Pulau Tikus is a gastronomical paradise and home to consulates of China, Indonesia and Thailand.

"The Church of the Immaculate Conception and Pulau Tikus Wet Market are other notable landmarks in the area. The median per square foot price for bungalows in Pulau Tikus is RM570," said iProperty.com in a statement.

The nine other properties in the top ten list include a bungalow in Jalan Bunga Hinai, Tanjung Tokong, Penang sold at RM13.6 million, bungalow in Bukit Tunku, Kuala Lumpur (RM12.6 mil), Serai Bukit Bandaraya condominium, Bangsar, KL (RM12.1 mil) and bungalow in Bukit Damansara (RM12 mil).

Also in the list are a bungalow at The Enclave, Bangsar (RM12 mil), town house at One Menerung, Bangsar (RM10 mil), condominium at The Binjai On The Park, KLCC (RM9.9 mil), bungalow at Masera Bukit Segar, Cheras (RM9.8 mil) and bungalow at Casa Permai, Tanjung Tokong, (RM9 mil).
