Condos, terrace homes in Malacca, Johor top iPropertyIQ.com's list wth jighest capital appreciation

KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 (Bernama) -- iPropertyIQ.com, the big data solutions service and division of iProperty.com.my Malaysia Sdn Bhd, has named Malacca and Johor as its list 'Top 5 List of Condominiums and Terrace Homes' with the highest capital appreciation in Malaysia for 2017.


In a statement today, iProperty.com said, the list was compiled based on sales data captured from the Valuation and Property Services Department (JPPH), Ministry of Finance, took into account the highest year-on-year growth in property value from October 2016 to September 2017 nationwide.


"The Casa Lago Apartments, a condominium project in Malacca city, which appreciated by 26.7 per cent, was deemed to had had the highest capital appreciation for condominiums in 2017," it said.


This was followed by the condominiums in the Klang Valley - Serdang Sky Villas (26.6 per cent), Maisson Residence in Ara Damansara (20.4 per cent), 8 Kinrara Service Apartment (15.7 per cent) and Casa USJ1 (15.2 per cent).


It said in the terrace home category, Johor took the first four positions with terrace homes in Taman Desaru Utama in Kota Tinggi, Johor, which appreciated at a rate of 54.8 per cent, topping the list in 2017.


"This is followed by Taman Melawati in Skudai (54.1 per cent), Taman Tangkak Jaya (51.8 per cent) and Taman Mewah Kulai (50.2 per cent)," it said.


The property site said Ipoh’s Taman Kledang Menglembu, the only non-Johor project stood at number five on the list.


It said the data from JPPH officially recorded a property transaction once the stamp duty for the sales and purchase agreement was paid.
