SINGAPORE, July 27 (Bernama) -- SP Setia is expected to launch its new residential project, Daintree Residence, in Bukit Timah here Saturday.

The award-winning developer is optimistic that its latest project in Singapore, after 18 Woodsville and Eco Sanctuary, will be 'well received' due to the 'excellent location... location and location.'

The Bukit Timah region is well known for the numerous prestigious schools, making it a much sought-after location by homeowners and upgraders, SP Setia International (S) Pte Ltd General Manager Neo Keng Hoe told Bernama.

"There certainly is no better location to raise a family with established academic institutions such as Bukit Timah Primary School, Pei Hwa Presbyterian, Nanyang Girls' School, Hwa Chong and National Junior College and Methodist Girls' School, all situated within the same catchment area," he added.

Connectivity is also a plus point for Daintree Residence as it is just a short walk away to one of the 34 Downtown MRT Line's stations - Beauty World - that will connect directly to the city center as well as Changi Airport.

"With the 41.9km Downtown MRT Line linking the north-west to the east of Singapore, residents will be able to get to any part of the island easily," Neo said.

As for home-buyers who drive, he noted that Daintree Residence had excellent connectivity with its close proximity to major arterial roads such as Bukit Timah Road and major expressways such as the Pan-Island Expressway and Bukit Timah Expressway.

Together with the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and many parks nearby, Daintree Residence is indeed "on the lush side of life."

"If you yearn to wake up to the sound of birds chirping, then look no further - residents can unwind with the natural panoramic sights of the foliage from the Nature Reserve all around the estate, evoking a sense of relaxation and calm," said Neo.

Sitting on a huge land area of 201,510 sq ft, located along Toh Tuck Road, Daintree Residence is a five-storey development with just 327 exclusively well-appointed apartments.

Every apartment is well-furnished with high-quality kitchen appliances from De Dietrich and smart home security features.

The General Manager said Daintree Residence also offered an opportunity for good capital appreciation.

For instance, Neo said, the collective sale of Mayfair Garden, located one MRT station away near King Albert Park MRT station, stood at S$1,244 per square foot (psf) of gross floor area (GFA), 32 per cent higher than that of Daintree Residence.

Similarly, the Government Land Sales site at Fourth Avenue, located two MRT stations away, was sold at S$1,540 psf based on the GFA, a whopping 64 per cent higher than that of Daintree Residence.

Hence, Neo said, one could conclude that Daintree Residence was an excellent value-for-money investment with a good capital appreciation opportunity.

With more than four decades of experience, SP Setia has established itself as an award-winning developer with presence in six countries, namely Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, China, the United Kingdom and Singapore.

In Singapore, SP Setia recently completed and handed over 18 Woodsville and Eco Sanctuary.

Eco Sanctuary clinched a gold award at the recent FIABCI World Prix d'Excellence Awards under the Sustainable Development Category.

SP Setia is a 10-time winner at the FIABCI competition, deemed the 'Oscars' of the world real estate industry.

"This is a rare achievement for any developer," said Neo.
