KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 (Bernama) -- Property developer UEM Sunrise aims to launch their biggest project this year, located in Kepong, by year-end.
UEM Sunrise chief marketing officer Kenny Wong said the mixed development project would comprise high-rise condominiums, retail and commercial properties with a gross development value of RM680 million to RM690 million.
"It is going to happen by the end of this year on 72 acres (29 hectares) of land in Kepong. It’s potentially a 15- to 20-year project in collaboration with a joint venture partner.
"We going to start with two condominium towers of 870 to 900 units, it’s going to be our biggest launch for this year in terms of units," he said at a press conference today after the launch of ‘hUb', UEM Sunrise’s new mobile app for homeowners.
He added that the take-up rate is expected to be good once the project is launched.
"We have been taking our time to ensure that the specifications, the quality of the things that we use, the types of units, the layout, as well as the price range are in line with customers’ needs," he said, adding it will be an better version of Mont Kiara.
"Mont Kiara 30-40 years ago was maybe just jungle, then UEM Sunrise came and developed it into what it is today.
“In 15 to 20 years, when Kepong is ready, I think it is going to be an even bigger and more progressive version of Mont Kiara," he said.
