1,700 houses worth RM713 million sold through Melaka HOC

MELAKA, Nov 2-- A total of 1,700 units of various types of homes worth RM713 million were sold through the Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) in Melaka from Jan 1 until Oct 31 this year, said chairman of the Real Estate and Housing Developers Association (REHDA), Datuk Seri Ngoh King Hua.
This includes property worth about RM400,000 per unit, he said.
Ngoh added that through the HOC which will end on Dec 31, purchasers of homes priced between RM300,000 and RM2.5 million each will be exempted from paying the stamp duties for the sales and purchases agreement and the loan agreement, and also enjoy a 10-per cent discount from the developer.
“To encourage more people to enjoy these benefits, REHDA Melaka will be organise the Malaysia Property Expo (Mapex) for the third time this year in conjunction with HOC with offers of 2,500 units of property with a sales value of more than RM1.2 billion," he told Bernama after the launch of the '3rd Melaka HOC-Mapex 2019' here last night.
He said Mapex which will be held for three days beginning yesterday will have 16 exhibition booths from 16 known housing developers in Melaka.
