Armani Media launches Malaysia's top 100 property developer brand

Last update: 28/11/2019

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 28 -- Armani Media Sdn Bhd has launched "Malaysia's Top 100 Property Developer Brand", a ranking of top property developers in Malaysia which offers future property owners a clearer insight on properties.

Armani Media's founder Datuk KK Chua said the Malaysia's Top 100 Property Developer Brand ranking is premised on four main pillars -- the people’s voice, the property developer’s financial health, brand prominence and stature.

"We are collecting the information and evaluation from buyer and potential buyers, and the first list is expected to be out early next year,” he told reporters after the launch here, today.

He said the ranking was initiated by Property Insight, Malaysia’s best-selling property magazine, following calls from readers looking to purchase properties without having to worry about the developer’s performance.

Property Insight is currently working with Acorn Marketing & Research Consultants Sdn Bhd (Acorn), the largest independent Asian marketing research and consultancy group with offices in 11 countries across Asia.

The Malaysia's Top 100 Property Developer Brand will provide an in-depth evaluation of the developers -- whether they have been blacklisted by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, or have a stained reputation of bad workmanship and overpricing.

"We believe in the importance of telling the brand story as it is the best way for the client to recall the brand. In this competitive and challenging time, only developers that possess a strong brand will prevail.

“Any company that does not have a brand will struggle to keep their head above water in the near future,” he said.

Chua said this ranking initiative can be used as a benchmark or a yardstick for property purchasers.

Meanwhile, Acorn’s general manager Michael Chong said that this will be the first time that such an initiative is implemented in Malaysia.

"We believe that it will be a game changer in the Malaysian property industry.

“It will also set an example for the developers to excel in their network, and we hope this ranking will be able to help future property buyers to make better decisions,” he added.
