Providing Affordable Homes Main Agenda Of Pahang State Government

Last update: 23/05/2016

KUANTAN, May 23 (Bernama) -- Providing affordable homes will continue to be the main agenda of the Barisan Nasional-led Pahang state government to ensure a comfortable lifestyle for its people.

State Housing and Township Committee chairman Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said through the 1Malaysia People's Housing (PR1MA) scheme the state government had successfully proven the project was not merely a rhetoric or general election promise.

"To date, 394 families have directly benefited from Pahang PR1MA with two completed projects in Triang (Bera) and Gambang (Kuantan). Another 1,200 units of PR1MA houses will be completed in the district by year end.

"The figure will continue to be increased from time to time to meet the target of building 15,000 units of PR1MA houses by 2018," he said during the winding up session of the State Assembly at Wisma Sri Pahang here, Monday.
