Overall Property Transactions Continue To Grow, Say REA Group

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 (Bernama) -- Overall property transactions in Malaysia
is expected to increase next year given the fact that property developers were
aggressively promoting their new launches, said REA Group Chief Executive
Officer (International) Arthur Charlaftis.

"There may be transitions over the period, but buying sentiment would be favourable over a long-term period," he said,

"The property market was soft this year. Consumer sentiment obviously has been down but we expect some positive improvement, moving forward.

"The market just recalibrated to move forward," he told Bernama after on the of the iProperty.com People's Choice Awards 2016 on Thursday.

People's Choice Awards 2016, hosted by property website, iProperty.com, honoured 13 companies including Mah Sing Group Bhd which bagged the 'Developer of the Year' award for the third consecutive year.

Exsim Development Sdn Bhd clinched the 'Best Emerging Developer' award, LBS Bina Group Bhd (Best Waterfront Development) and Sunway Iskandar Sdn Bhd (Best Township Development).

REA Group is a digital real estate site which owned iProperty.com and has a presence in Australia, Asia, Europe and North America.
