Last update: 12/01/2017

JOHOR BAHRU, Jan 12 (Bernama) -- Damansara Realty Bhd (DBhd) and Country Garden Holdings Co Ltd today organised a property showcase to attract potential buyers of its projects -- Aliff Square 1 and Aliff Square 2.

In a statement today DBhd said the project was part of its overall plan to develop the 21.45 hectares here into an integrated township known as Central Park.

DBhd said Damansara Realty Johor Sdn Bhd, its indirect wholly-owned unit, would undertake the development of Central Park with Country Garden Management Sdn Bhd (CGM), a wholly-owned company of Hong Kong-listed Country Garden.

DBhd Property Division General Manager, Loh Zhi Sing, said the Aliff Square project would consist of units ranging from 4,814 sq ft to 9,881 sq ft and were priced from RM2.3 million.

"The handover for units in Aliff Square 1 was done in August 2016 while Aliff Square 2 was expected to be ready in the second quarter of 2017," he said.

Loh said the development of Central Park, which would take approximately six to eight years, would commence in the fourth quarter of 2016.

He said the township was located in the Tebrau district, about 10 km north-west of Johor Bahru city centre, and targets young homebuyers in Malaysia.

"There will also be commercial shop lots and other amenities besides the residential units featured in Central Park," said Loh.

Apart from the Central Park and Forest City projects in Johor, CGM has two other developments -- Danga Bay in Johor and Country Garden Diamond in Kuala Lumpur.

DBhd is an investment holding company specialising in property development and has ongoing developments in Kuantan and Putrajaya.

It has a contract with Putrajaya Corp to develop 1,350 homes and 45 commercial units in Putrajaya at a gross development cost of approximately RM467 million on 202.34ha in Bandar Damansara Kuantan.

DBhd has received a RM124 million deal to offer facilities management and catering services to Petronas Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development complex in Pengerang on Sept 26, 2016.
