Sultan Ibrahim To Ensure Success Of Johorians' Dream House Project

JOHOR BAHRU, March 23 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar will ensure the success of the 'Rumah Impian Bangsa Johor' project in assisting the lower income group to own a comfortable house.



"As such, don't lobby me to get the house," Sultan Ibrahim said at the state investiture ceremony in conjunction with his birthday celebration at Istana Besar, today.



The Ruler said the project was his gift to assist the people of Johor who were truly facing hardship.



He added that the selling price of the houses was in the range of RM100,000 and the deposit for the purchase was only RM1 with 100 per cent financing from Bank Rakyat.



The project, to be implemented under the Sultan Ibrahim Foundation in collaboration with Johor Corporation (JCorp) and Bank Rakyat, was launched by the Sultan yesterday and would be developed in three areas around the city namely Bandar Dato' Onn, Bandar Baru Majidee and Bukit Saujana.
